Launch48 Weekend - London

The wait is finally over, all the public votes are in and we’re delighted to announce the final 1st and 2nd place winners of the Vodafone App Star competition.

Pedro Campos, an independent mobile developer, takes first place and a grand prize fund of €100,000 for his FlickrShow application.

Looking to make your widget available to Vodafone customers with Android phones? Below are a few key questions, with answers, that you need to ask yourself before you get started:

Is your widget optimized for finger touch interaction?
  • All Android phones Vodafone will offer this year have touch screens
  • Some also have 5-way navigation hardware
Does your widget support correct screen sizes?
  • Suggest following fluid layout principles to design UI that scales across many resolutions, pixel densities - details here
