Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to protect the .WGT file in some way so it is not easy to open and view the files within the download file?

I can imagine that, as a developer, you do not want to have all your JavaScript exposed and there for the taking when you put in quite some time and effort finding out how to make some specific stuff work.

Will the .WGT download work/install as expected when it is wrapped in an OMA DRM 1.0 shell? And what shell should be used (Forward Lock, Combined Delivery Lock or Seperate Delivery Lock)?

Cheers,
Ernst

Thanks for the answer Neil. Too bad that currently no protective measures can be taken regarding widget distribution apart from maybe a little (c) notice in the source code ;-) Oh well, that's not going to stop me from creating my widgets. Cheers, Ernst .imagine .create .enjoy!

I could be wrong, but I do not believe that it is currently possible to protect widgets with DRM (OMA or otherwise)
