Tenure Overview
Tenure enables you to verify how long someone has been a customer (subscriber) on the Vodafone mobile network. You can use this information to spot potential fraudsters, and check whether someone has a track record of paying their monthly mobile bills. This can help build a level of trust for the customer associated with that number.

Tenure provides information that confirms (or denies) whether a customer's subscription tenure (rather than the contract tenure) with Vodafone began before a specific date.
How it works
- The Service Provider sends a request to the Tenure API, containing the customer's MSISDN and a start date.
- The API performs a check against the Vodafone mobile number.
- Vodafone responds. If the tenure date is before the input date in the API request, it returns a 'true' response. If the tenure date is after the input date in the API request, it returns a 'false' response.
- The Service Provider can allow or deny the user's actions based on the tenure information provided by the API.
